SCSU Softball Defeats Jamestown, 10-0

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State softball team hosted the University of Jamestown in a non-conference match-up this evening. The Huskies defeated the Jimmies 10-0 in five innings.
St. Cloud State improves to 13-9 overall. With the loss Jamestown falls to 10-9 overall.
The Huskies took a quick lead this evening, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first. St. Cloud State finished with 22 at bats, eight hits, and four assists. Jamestown had a total of seven wild pitches this evening.
Jessica Goerger (Mankato, Minn.) led the Huskies with a perfect three of three from behind the plate. Goerger finished with a homerun in the second, one rbi, and two putouts.
Pitcher Senna Francesconi (Schomberg, Ontario) pitched three innings for the Huskies. Francesconi gave up two hits, had three strikeouts, and walked one batter. This marks a 4-4 win/loss for Francesconi.
Alyssa Coletto (Aurora, Ill.) recorded a team-high seven putouts. Coletto finished with two at bats, two hits, and one assist.
St. Cloud State will return to action tomorrow afternoon at Selke Field as they host Jamestown in a doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
