SCSU Softball Splits in Doubleheader vs. Jamestown

St. Cloud State now holds a 14-10 overall record. Jamestown moves to 11-10 overall.
Game One Recap:
Alyssa Coletto (Aurora, Ill.) recorded a team by nine putouts followed by Jessica Goerger (Mankato, Minn.) with six. Goerger finished with two hits and one rbi.
Taylor Thomas (Fontana, Calif.) finished with three hits for the Huskies.
Rebecca Harps (Yucaipa, Calif.) pitched three innings for the Huskies. Harps gave up four hits and struck out two batters.
The Huskies had seven runs on ten hits.
Game Two Recap:
The Huskies got on the board first, scoring in the bottom of the fifth. Jessica Goerger (Mankato, Minn.) recorded a grand slam to give the Huskies a 5-0 lead. Goerger finished with 14 putouts, one hit, and five rbi's.
Megan Hedstrom (Palatine, Ill.) received the win for the Huskies, pitching six innings, striking out one and giving up just five hits.
The Huskies scored ten runs on eight hits.
St. Cloud State will return to action Tuesday, Mar. 24 as they travel to the University of Minnesota Duluth to take on the Bulldogs. Duluth is currently 16-7 overall.
