SCSU women's tennis to compete at NSIC Tourney on April 25-26

The St. Cloud State University women's tennis team, which completed its 2015 regular season with a 9-10, 6-5 NSIC record, will open play in the 2015 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championship tournament on Saturday, April 25 with an 11:30 a.m. match against MSU Moorhead.
The Huskies are the number sixth seed in the NSIC tournament, while MSU Moorhead (9-9, 8-3 NSIC) is the number three seed. Â The eight-team tournament will be held at the Lifetime Fitness Oakdale (Tennis Village) in Minnetonka, Minn. Â The winner of the SCSU-MSU Moorhead match will then advance to play the winner of the match between Mary and Upper Iowa on Sunday, April 26 at 9 a.m. Â The championship match will then take place on Sunday, April 26 at Noon.
The top seed in the tournament is Augustana, followed by #2 Upper Iowa, #3 MSU Moorhead, #4 Minnesota State, #5 Sioux Falls, #6 St. Cloud State, #7 Mary and #8 Winona State. Â The winner of the tournament will receive the conference's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Division II tournament.
