
Women’s Soccer Falls 1-0 To Bemidji State

St. Cloud, Minn. –The St. Cloud State soccer team (6-7-4, 5-5-4 NSIC) fell by a 1-0 margin to the Bemidji State soccer program (13-4, 11-3 NSIC) on Friday night, Oct. 28, at Husky Stadium.
BSU held a slight 11-9 margin in shots, including a 5-3 edge in attempts on goal.
The lone goal of the game came from the Beavers at 5:24 margin of the first half when Dani Nelson collected a rebound in front of the net, off the previous shot attempt by Rachel Norton that had hit off the left post, and deposited the ball past the SCSU keeper for what would end up being the winning score. The goal was Nelson's second of the season.
Julia Clifford (6-7-4) took the loss despite allowing the one goal and registering four saves. Catherine Arneson (7-1) had a blemish free 90 minutes with three saves.
SCSU best chance to score came in the final minute of regulation when Kylie Cleary's shot attempt went just high.
The Huskies play their final game of the regular season and travels to Minnesota Crookston to take on the Golden Eagles at 1 p.m. in a crucial game with seeding and entry to the next week's NSIC Tournament on the line on Oct. 30.
