SCSU tennis collects two more wins on Arizona trip

The St. Cloud State University women's tennis team improved to 6-4 on the season with a pair of victories in Arizona on Tuesday, March 7. Â The Huskies opened the day with a 6-3 win at Pima C.C. and then finished the day off with a 7-2 victory over Eastern Arizona C.C. Â Both matches were played in Tucson, Ariz.
In the victory over Pima C.C., the Huskies gained victories at third, fourth and fifth singles and also posted wins at all three doubles positions. Â In the win over Eastern Arizona, SCSU scored wins at first singles, third singles, fourth singles, fifth singles and sixth singles. Â The Huskies also posted wins at second and third doubles vs. EACC. Â Complete results from the matches are listed below.
"It was a long day of tennis in the Arizona heat but we had a great effort by everyone in the two wins," SCSU coach Jerry Anderson said.Â
The Huskies will continue their Spring Break trip to Arizona with a match against Mesa C.C. in Mesa, Ariz. on March 8. Â
