SCSU women's tennis splits in action at St. Peter on March 31

The St. Cloud State University women's tennis team posted an 8-1 win over NSIC rival Southwest Minnesota State and a 5-4 loss to Minnesota State, Mankato in matches played at the Gustavus Adolphus Tennis Complex on Friday, March 31.
The Friday split moved SCSU's season record to 10-6 on the season and 5-4 in NSIC play. Â Of historic note, SCSU's recent win over St. Benedict's and the win over Southwest Minnesota State were the 500th and 501st career victories as a college tennis coach for SCSU head coach Jerry Anderson.
In the match against Minnesota State, Mankato, Fernanda Quintos dos Santos (3rd singles), Jill Kedrowski (4th singles) and Alexie Portz (5th singles) all charted wins for the Huskies.  The doubles pair of Portz and Kedrowski also won their match at second doubles.  Against SMSU, the Huskies charted wins at second through sixth singles along with wins at all three doubles positions.
The Huskies will wrap up their 2017 regular season with a conference match at Sioux Falls on April 8 and a meeting at Augustana on April 9.
