SCSU tennis collects another victory in Arizona

The St. Cloud State University women's tennis team (4-7) added its second victory in Arizona with a 7-0 win over Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix, Ariz. on Tuesday, March 10.

The Huskies will continue their spring break schedule of games in Arizona on Wednesday, March 11 with a 1:30 p.m. match at Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz.

SCSU dominated the match against PVCC, which included a 6-1, 6-1 victory by Shanna Kinny at first singles over Tia Silva. At second singles, SCSU's Jill Kedrowski gained a 6-0, 6-0 win over PVCC's Kim Correa and Olivia Fredrickson posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles for the Huskies. At fourth singles, SCSU's Margaret Wuollet gained a 6-4, 6-3 win and the Huskies also earned forfeit wins at fifth and sixth singles.

In doubles action, Kedrowski and Mirei Ichida posted an 8-0 win at first doubles for SCSU. Kinny and Frederickson also gained an 8-1 win at second doubles, while the Huskies completed the shutout with a forfeit win at third doubles.
