Huskies feature NCAA-best eight ranked wrestlers in second NWCA poll

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 2 St. Cloud State Wrestling leads all NCAA DII programs with eight ranked individuals including five wrestlers earning top-five nods in the second National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) poll released on December 31. Joseph Bianchini remains atop the 141 rankings at No. 1, Colby Njos and Noah Ryan each move up to No. 2 at 157 and 197 respectively, Garrett Vos ascended to No. 3 at 133 while 174-pounder Dominic Murphy rose to No. 5. At 165, Devin Donovan stays at No. 8 while Billy Pitzner stands at No. 12 among his peers at 184. Paxton Creese is the Huskies' newcomer to the rankings, entering the 125-pound class at No. 11.
The Huskies are 5-0 to begin the 2021-22 season, earning four wins over ranked opponents. SCSU will travel to Louisville, Kentucky next week for the NWCA National Duals on January 6-7.
