Huskies fall 4-3; freshman Kashima, Paz Aoki and Brower win singles matches
LAKE EVA, Fla. – St. Cloud State Women's Tennis (4-5, 3-3 NSIC) dropped its second match in Florida, falling to Saginaw Valley State, 4-3, on Monday in Lake Eva, Fla. The Huskies top singles players were superb once again, as the Huskies recorded victories in singles matches from freshman Arisa Kashima (Saitama, Japan), freshman Maria Paz Aoki (Marcos Paz, Argentina) and freshman Johana Brower (Sioux Falls, S.D) at the No. 1, 2 and 3 spots, respectively,
DOUBLES
The Huskies dropped the doubles point after wins from Millersville at the No. 2 and 3 positions. At the No. 1 position, Brower and freshman Claudia Munoz Perez (Tarragona, Spain) earned a 6-3 victory over Sara Neves and Chelsea Dzenga.
SINGLES
In singles play, Kashima, Paz Aoki and Brower were victorious. Kashima won 6-4, 6-3 over Sara Neves, while Paz Aoki beat Emma Charlton, 6-2, 4-6, 14-12 and Brower won 1-6, 6-2, 10-7 over Chelsea Dzenga.
