Huskies win three singles matches but come up just short

ORLANDO, Fla. – St. Cloud State Women's Tennis (5-6, 3-3 NSIC) dropped a close match, 4-3, to Southern Indiana on Wednesday afternoon in Florida. The Huskies fell behind early after dropping the doubles point, and nearly came back in singles play, winning three matches, before falling by one point.

DOUBLES

In doubles play, Southern Indiana earned the point after victories on all three courts.

SINGLES

In singles play, the Huskies got wins from freshman Johana Brower (Sioux Falls, S.D.), junior Shanna Kinny (Litchfield, Minn.) and freshman Claudia Munoz Perez (Tarragona, Spain) to nearly mount a comeback, ultimately falling short by one match. At the No. 3 spot, Brower beat Abby Myers, 6-3, 7-6 (2), while Kinny beat Chloe McIsaac 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 5 spot and Munoz Perez beat Madison Windham, 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 at the No. 5 spot.
