St. Cloud State Wrestling Announces 2024-25 Team Captains

St. Cloud, Minn. – St. Cloud State Wrestling has announced their 2024-25 team captains per Head Coach Steve Costanzo. The team will field six captains including Bryce FitzPatrick, Caleb Meekins, Dominic Murphy, Colby Njos, Nick Novak, and Nolan Throne.
FitzPatrick is a redshirt senior from Mahtomedi, Minn. and is coming off a breakout season with the Huskies where he reached the NCAA Tournament and earned All-American Honors.
Meekins is a redshirt senior from Livonia, MI. Last season, Meekins qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season.
Murphy is a graduate student from Evergreen Park, Ill. and is coming off his second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and second straight All-American nod. Murphy was named NSIC Outstanding Senior of the Year last year as well.
Njos is a graduate student from Anoka, Minn. Last season, Njos qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second time in his career and earned his second All-American Honor.
Novak is a senior from New Prague, Minn and is coming off his second consecutive National Championship appearance after finishing as the National Runner-up last year.
Throne is a redshirt senior from Moline, Ill. In the 2023-24 season, Throne tallied a 12-3 record with eight bonus point victories.
"This is an exciting time of the year when we announce our team leaders," said Coach Steve Costanzo. "This skilled and veteran group of young men are great leaders in and out of the wrestling room. They live and breathe the sport and are committed to a championship lifestyle. I am excited for them to lead this team!"
