
St. Cloud State Wrestling Tabbed No. 1 Team in Third Consecutive NWCA Poll

Manheim, Pa.- St. Cloud State Wrestling remains the No. 1 ranked team in Division II via the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). For the second consecutive poll, the Huskies has 10 wrestlers ranked after holding nine in the preseason poll.

The Huskies accumulated 103.5 points in the latest ranking. Glennville State tallied 77 points to rank second and were followed by Wisconsin Parkside (75.5), Central Oklahoma (67), and Nebraska Kearney (65).
At 125, Conor Knopick is ranked #15. Knopick is 4-3 on the year with three bonus point victories and holds a perfect 2-0 record in duals.
At 133, Sam Spencer is ranked #7. Spencer is up to 14 wins on the year to only one loss while being 2-0 in duals. Spencer has eight bonus point victories on the season.
After being ranked #8 in the previous poll, Alyeus Craig has jumped to #6 on the year. Craig is 10-2 on the season and picked up his first dual win of the year against MSU Moorhead this past week. He is 1-0 in duals and has tallied seven bonus point wins.
Colby Njos is now ranked #1 at the 149-pound class after being #2 in the prior poll. Njos has started the year 2-0 with bonus point wins in each of his matches.
At 157, Joel Jesuroga is now ranked #5 after previously being ranked #7. Jesuroga is still undefeated on the year with a 7-0 record and a 2-0 record in duals. Through seven matches, Jesuroga holds four bonus point wins.
Nick Novak moved up to #2 at 165 after being ranked #5. Novak is up to 10-1 on the year with a 2-0 record in duals. He has accumulated seven bonus point victories on the year.
At 174, Bryce Dagel comes in at #5 after being unranked in the previous poll. Dagel holds a 9-2 record with four bonus point wins. He is also 2-0 in dual matches.
Bryce FitzPatrick is ranked #10 at the 184-pound class. FitzPatrick has started the year 7-3 with three bonus point wins. At the Luther College Open, FitzPatrick took the first place title and then placed sixth at the Wisconsin Open.
At 197, Dominic Murphy remains ranked #4 in the class. Murphy is undefeated on the year with a 9-0 record and has tallied seven bonus point victories. Murphy is 2-0 in dual competitions.
La'Ron Parks remains ranked #2 at the 285-pound class. Parks is 12-0 on the year with four bonus points victories. Parks is 1-0 in dual competitions on the year. Â
