Huskies fall to Augustana in Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – St. Cloud State Softball (30-26, 12-16 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) dropped its NSIC Tournament Quarterfinal matchup against Augustana (43-13, 27-1 NSIC) Thursday afternoon at Bowden Field in Sioux Falls.
Augustana's pitcher Grace Glanzer was the star of the game, throwing a perfect game as the Vikings took down the Huskies, 6-0. The NSIC Pitcher/Newcomer of the Year needed just 81 pitches to retire all 21 SCSU batters she faced over 7.0 innings.
The Vikings took an 3-0 lead in the first inning, scoring three runs on four hits including a two-run home run by Torri Chute. Augie added three more runs in the fifth, including a two-RBI double by NSIC Player of the Year Gracey Brink.
