La’Ron Parks Named NSIC Wrestler of the Week Following NSIC Title for Huskies

Parks captured two ranked wins
Burnsville, Minn.- Fifth year senior La'Ron Parks was named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Wrestler of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.
Parks went 2-0 on the week with a pair of ranked wins as No. 1 St. Cloud State repeated as NSIC Champions while winning their 18th overall title. In the Huskies 48-0 win against RV Minot State, Parks wrestled against No. 9 Jake Swirple. The defense for the Euclid, Ohio native was on display as he shutout Swirple's offense in the 2-1 victory. In St. Cloud State's 28-7 win against No. 11 UMary, Parks wrestled against No. 8 Luke Tweeton. Using a late first period takedown, Parks would come away with a 4-1 win to cap off his weekend. The No. 5 ranked wrestler at 285 holds an 18-3 record on the year.
