Huskies to play Minnesota State and Winona State
St. Cloud, MN. – St. Cloud State Tennis (3-8, 1-5 NSIC) travel to Rogers, MN. this weekend as they take on Minnesota State on Saturday, March 28 and then Winona State on Sunday, March 29. Saturday's match is set for 12:00 p.m. while Sunday's match will be played at 4:00 p.m.

St. Cloud State traveled to Sioux Falls, S.D. this past weekend as they took on Sioux Falls and No. 16 Augustana.
Huskies Fall 5-2 to Sioux Falls- March 20, 2026
The Cougars would secure the doubles point with a pair of 6-2 wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 spot. SCSU would default the final doubles match as USF would lead 1-0.
Moving to singles play, Sioux Falls produced three straight set wins along with another default win as they ultimately clinched the match. Lara-Maria Schaefer gave the Huskies their first point of the match with a 7-5, 6-4 win at the No. 3 spot. After dropping the first set in the No. 4 spot, Brooklyn Broadwell rallied to win the next two sets with a 10-8 superbreaker victory in set three to secure her win. The score would be finalized at 5-2.

The Vikings would secure the doubles point with a 6-1 and 6-2 win in the No. 1 and No. 2 spot. SCSU would default the final doubles match as Augustana would lead 1-0.
Moving to singles play, the Vikings added another default win and then came away with five straight set wins as they ultimately beat the Huskies 7-0. This was the first time that St. Cloud State has been swept this season.

The Huskies had their five-match streak of taking the doubles point snap after falling in two of the three matches. The Mavericks captured victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Gibby Chapman and Brooklyn Broadwell came away with a 6-3 win at the No. 3 spot for SCSU.
Trailing 1-0 heading into singles play, St. Cloud State dropped matches in the No. 5, No. 3, and No. 2 spots as Mankato clinched the win in the match. The Mavericks completed the sweep with three more straight set victories as they went on to win 7-0.

Huskies Drop Tight Match to Winona State in Season Opener- January 31, 2026
St. Cloud State opened their day by taking the first doubles match as Lara-Maria Schaefer and Liliana Ruy Sánchez Mendivil came away with a 6-2 win in the No. 1 spot. In what were two tightly contested matches, the Warriors would come away with 7-5 and 7-6 wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to clinch the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead.
Moving into singles play, Brooklyn Broadwell would tie up the match with a 6-0, 6-2 straight set win in the No. 5 spot. WSU took the next two matches in the No. 4 and No. 6 spots to take a 3-1 lead. Schaefer brough the Huskies within a point after producing a 7-5, 6-3 win. Winona State would clinch the match with a 7-5, 6-0 win in the No. 2 spot. Sánchez Mendivil gave the Huskies their final point of the day with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Lainy Ristau, but Winona State would win 4-3 over the Huskies.
