Porter Throws No-Hitter, St. Cloud State Softball Completes Weekend Sweep

Porter throws second no-hitter of 2026, Huskies outscore USF 7-1
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Softball (31-11, 13-3 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) completed a perfect 4-0 weekend with a doubleheader sweep of Sioux Falls (22-21, 10-8 NSIC) on Sunday at the Husky Dome in St. Cloud. Senior pitcher Justyce Porter (Kent, Wash.) pitched a no-hitter in the Huskies 1-0 game one win, and the bats came alive in SCSU's 6-1 game two victory. It was the Huskies fifth (second consecutive) doubleheader sweep of Northern Sun play.
GAME ONE: ST. CLOUD STATE 1, SIOUX FALLS 0
The Huskies scored the lone run of the game in the fourth inning when a bunt from sophomore catcher/infielder Morgan Honeycutt (Rosemount, Minn.) brought home redshirt junior infielder Grace Frechette (Forest Lake, Minn.).
Porter tossed her second no-hitter of the season and of her career, striking out six batters over 7.0 innings.

SCSU jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning after a two-RBI doubles from junior catcher/infielder Bethany Weiss (Forest Lake, Minn.) and redshirt sophomore utility Kaylee Collins (Lakeville, Minn.). The Cougars scored their lone run in the top of the second with an RBI-triple to make the score 4-1. Junior infielder Brooke Holmes (Savage, Minn.) provided a pair of insurance runs for the Huskies with RBI-singles in the fourth and sixth innings.
Senior pitcher Macey Clark (Winneconne, Wis.) was excellent, tossing a complete game allowing just one run on three hits while striking out eight and walking two.

Porter became the second Husky to pitch multiple solo no-hitters. It was her team-leading 12th win of the season, ninth complete game and team-leading fourth shutout. She has pitched 100.0 innings this season and owns a 1.61 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and .214 opponent's batting average.
- Frechette recorded her 10th multi-hit game of the season and 11th double of the season – both marks rank tied for second on the team. She is on a season-best eight game hitting streak and a season-best eight game on-base streak.
- Dahmen is on a season-best six game hit streak and a season-best 11 game on-base streak.
- Roe hit her seventh double of the season.
- Honeycutt drove in her 33rd run of the season, which ranks second on the team.
- Junior outfielder Hannah Harms (Bartlett, Ill.) drew a walk to extend her season-best on-base streak to 10 games.

- Weiss tallied her 14th multi-hit game of the season, 10th multi-RBI game and 14th double which all are team-highs this season.
- Collins posted her fifth multi-RBI game of the season and sixth double.
- Beck hit her second double of the season.
- Harms extended her season-best on-base streak to 11 games.
