Huskies to host NMU at Husky Stadium

The St. Cloud State University women's soccer team (6-11-1, 5-9-1 NSIC in 2014) will open its regular season on Friday, Sept. 4 with a 7 p.m. date at scenic Husky Stadium against non-conference foe Northern Michigan University.

Tickets for this game are available at the gate on game night. All St. Cloud State students will be admitted to all regular season home games in 2015 for FREE. Just show your valid SCSU student ID card at the gate and you get in FREE.

The Huskies will complete its opening weekend on Sunday, Sept. 6 with a 1 p.m. home match on the pitch at Husky Stadium against non-conference rival Michigan Tech University.

TEAM HEADLINES

St. Cloud State was 6-11-1, 5-9-1 NSIC during the 2014 season.
SCSU head coach Gretta Arvesen will begin her second season with the Huskies in 2015. She is assistant this season by Alex Piekarski.
The Huskies ended the 2014 season with NSIC victories over Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State.
SCSU's top returning scorer is senior forward Gabby Fleck, who posted six assists for the Huskies in 2014.
SCSU sophomore defender Mackenzie Winters was named to the All-NSIC Second Team in 2014, while teammate senior midfielder Michelle Cornell gained All-NSIC Honorable Mention notice for the second consecutive season.
Last year, SCSU opened the year with a 1-0 win at Northern Michigan and followed with a 2-0 loss at Michigan Tech. The victory over NMU was one of four shutouts posted by the Huskies in 2014.
In their careers at SCSU, Gabby Fleck has 5g/12a and Michelle Cornell has 10 goals for the Huskies.
