Track & Field To Send Six To NCAA Outdoor Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – St. Cloud State's outdoor track & field programs will be well represented at 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Bradenton, Florida at the IMG Academy, as the NCAA announced its participation list on Tuesday, May 17. The team will send a total of six athletes to represent the program in five events.
Junior Keyshawn Davis is ranked eighth in the long jump (7.56m/25'09.75") and will jump in the finals at 3 p.m. EST on Thursday, May 26.
Freshman Elijah Pitchford is placed 16th in the triple jump (15.15m/49'8.5") and competes at 4:45 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 28.
In the discus, junior Quinn Anderson is fifth nationally (56.02m/183'9"), senior Ryan Johnson is 15th (53.60m/175'10") and senior Rafael Saez is 16th (53.07m/174'1"). All three will compete in the finals at 2 p.m. EST on Friday, May 27.

Johnson is also 13th nationally in the hammer (60.86m/199'8") and throws at 12:30 p.m. EST on Thursday, May 26.
Junior Sam Sunstrom will represent the women's program and is currently 15th in the 10,000m (35:17.30). She competes on Thursday, May 26, at 9:35 p.m. EST
