Elijah Pitchford Places 19th in the Triple Jump

BRADENDON, Fla. – St. Cloud State freshman Elijah Pitchford placed 19th overall in the triple jump in his first-ever appearance at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, May 28, at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
Pitchford's jump of 14.15m/46'5.25" came on his third and final jump of the day. The winner of the event was Michael Sandle of Minnesota State with his jump of 16.22m/51'2.75".

The St. Cloud State men's and women's track & field teams ended up recorded four All-American performances at the 2016 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships. Senior Rafael Saez was a First Team All-American in the discus (7th place). Senior Ryan Johnson was a Second Team All-American in the discus (10th place) Junior Quinn Anderson was a Second Team All-American in the discus (9th place). Junior Sam Sunstrom was a Second Team All-American in the 10,000m (9th place).
