CLERMONT, Fla. – The St. Cloud State softball team (10-2) got outside for the first time this season and played a pair of games at the Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. at the National Training Center at Legends Way Field on Tuesday, March 7. The Huskies won the first game by a 6-1 score to Trevecca Nazarene (8-8) and won a 3-2 thriller over Lewis University (8-4) in the second game.
Senior Megan Hedstrom (5-2) was the game one winner in going the distance with three hits and one run allowed against Trevecca Nazarene. The team featured a balanced offensive attack with senior Rebecca Harps totaling four hits and a double on the day. Fellow senior Jessica Goerger had three hits, a double and two RBIs.
