ST. CLOUD, MINN. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) season did not get off to the greatest start for the St. Cloud State University softball team. The Huskies were swept in their opening NSIC doubleheader of the season, falling to Minnesota-Duluth 1-0 in the opener and 3-1 in game two. However, St. Cloud State has the perfect chance to flip the scales this weekend, as the team travels to Nebraska and South Dakota for doubleheaders against Wayne State College and Augustana University.
The trip to Wayne, Nebraska and Sioux Falls, South Dakota will be nothing for the well-traveled Huskies, as they've spent all of March away from the comforts of the Husky Dome and Selke Field. After opening the season with a home dome tournament on February 1-2, St. Cloud State has played just two doubleheaders at home since and won't return home until April 6.
Live stats will be available for both Sunday's doubleheader against Augustana and Monday's twin bill with Wayne State. Score updated will also be made on St. Cloud State softball's official Twitter account (@SCSUHUSKIES_SB).
