Valdez scores in 54th minute for the Huskies
ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (3-6-2, 3-4-2 NSIC) fell to Concordia St. Paul (7-5-1, 6-3-1 NSIC), 2-1, on Sunday afternoon in St. Paul. The Huskies fell behind by two goals and were unable to overcome the deficit in the second half.
TURNING POINT
The Golden Bears struck early in the game, scoring in the 14th minute to grab a 1-0 lead and the momentum. Concordia St. Paul added another goal in the 53rd minute to double their lead.
TOP HUSKIES
Next, St. Cloud State will return home to Husky Stadium for three consecutive games. Next weekend, the Huskies will host Augustana on Friday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. CT, followed by hosting Wayne State on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. CT.

- Redshirt senior forward Nicole Friis (Appleton, Wis.) assisted on Valdez's goal, her second assist of the season.
- Redshirt freshman goalie Evie Kohn (Westland Lake, Minn.) made eight saves in the game.
