Huskies will honor Samantha Fitzpatrick and Olivia Fredrickson for Senior Day on Saturday
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Tennis (7-8, 4-4 NSIC) will be back in action this weekend with a pair of nonconference matches on Saturday and Sunday. First, the Huskies will host Minnesota Morris on Saturday, April 2 at Sta-Fit Tennis Center for Senior Day at 12:30 p.m. CT, followed by a road match at Wisconsin River Falls on Sunday, April 3 at 12:00 p.m. CT.
On Saturday, the Huskies will honor senior captains Samantha Fitzpatrick (Rogers, Minn.) and Olivia Fredrickson (Fridley, Minn.) pre-match.
The Huskies are coming off a pair of victories this past weekend, picking up a 5-2 win over Minnesota Duluth on Saturday (March 26) and College of Saint Benedict on Sunday (March 27). Junior Shanna Kinny (Litchfield, Minn.) went 4-0 on the weekend to help the Huskies to the 2-0 weekend. With partner Johana Brower at the No. 2 spot, Kinny defeated UMD's Isabel Resler and Abby Johnson, 6-4, and CSB's Grace Lee and Sophia Jonas, 6-1. In singles at the No. 3 spot, Kinny defeated UMD's Isabel Resler, 6-3, 6-2, and CSB's Grace Nesbit, 6-1, 6-1.
