Brower, Munoz Perez and Fitzpatrick earn wins in singles play

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Tennis (9-10, 4-6 NSIC) lost to Southwest Minnesota State, 4-3, in its NSIC regular season finale on Sunday afternoon at the Sta-Fit Tennis Center. With back-to-back losses to end the season, the Huskies move to 4-6 in conference play.

DOUBLES

SCSU lost in doubles play after only winning one of the three matches. Freshman Johana Brower (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and junior Shanna Kinny (Litchfield, Minn.) were able to secure a 6-4 win in the No. 2 spot as they defeated Kristina Vuksanovic and Faith Madiwke.

SINGLES

The Huskies were able to get three points from the singles portion of the match with victories in the 4, 5, and 6 spots from Brower, freshman Claudia Muñoz Perez (Tarragona, Spain), and senior Samantha Fitzpatrick (Rogers, Minn.).

UP NEXT

The Huskies will head to Sioux Falls, S.D., for the NSIC Tournament starting on April 22. The tournament schedule will be released soon by the conference office.
