Minot State strikes early to defeat St Cloud State
MINOT, N.D. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (1-4-0, 0-2-0 NSIC) fell to Minot State (1-2-2) on Sunday afternoon at First Western Bank Field in Minot, North Dakota. The shutout is the fourth time this season the Huskies have played to a scoreless result.
Turning Point
The Beavers grabbed their lone goal just eight minutes into the game, when Minot State's Casey Brooklyn found the back of the net off Emma Monsen's pass to give them all they needed. The Huskies had their chances, outshooting the Beavers 18-10, while putting six of those shots on goal.
Top Huskies
- Fifth-year midfielder Samantha Howa notched three of the Huskies' shots on goal
- Redshirt Senior forward Jenna Dominguez led both teams in shots with seven, putting two of those on goal
- Evie Kohn, Kristi Jazdzewski, and Karlie Valdez each played the full 90 minutes

The Huskies will be back in action next Friday at 6:00 pm, when they host the Winona State Warriors (3-1-1) at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud, Minn.
