Â
St. Cloud State is coming off a successful spring break trip in Orlando, Florida in which they won three of their four matches in the sunshine state. Freshman Oriana Grott was awarded NSIC Player of the Week for the Huskies as she recorded a 2-0 singles record in the No. 1 spot and 2-0 in the No. 2 doubles spot. Sophomore Johana Brower is in the midst of a six match singles winning streak for the Huskies as she won all four of her matches in Florida.
Â
Bemidji State (1-6, 1-2 NSIC) is currently seeded 9th in the NSIC standings. The Beavers opened their season recording five straight losses and snapped the losing skid with a 4-3 win against Upper Iowa. Before facing the Huskies on Saturday, Bemidji State will play Minnesota Duluth on Friday at 6:30 P.M. St. Cloud State will look to capitalize on the quick turnaround that the Beavers have on March 18th.
Â
Minnesota Crookston (7-2, 2-1 NSIC) is seeded 4th in the NSIC standings. The Golden Eagles are having a bounce back season after going 0-11 last year in conference play and 2-12 overall.
