St. Cloud State
St. Cloud State is in the midst of their longest wining streak since the 2011 season as they have strung together five consecutive wins. All five wins have been against conference opponents which has elevated the Huskies into 5th place in the NSIC standings. The Huskies have the third most total wins in the conference and are on the second longest winning streak in the conference. St. Cloud State has already matched their win total from the previous season with three matches remaining. This past weekend, the Huskies picked up a 4-3 win against Southwest Minnesota State in Rogers, Minn. Sophomore Johana Brower extended her historic singles winning streak to 11 straight victories with a 6-1, 6-2 win. Brower is now one of only seven individuals in program history with a singles winning streak of 11 or more matches. Brower has put together a dominant season in singles play as she boasts a 12-1 record. Sophomore Maria Molitor and senior Arisa Kashima have also been on a tear as they have each put together winning streaks of five consecutive matches in singles play. After only appearing in two singles matches last season, Molitor has won 10 singles matches on the year which is second on the team. Kashima is also having an improved season as she has nearly doubled her singles win total from last year. Kashima has recorded nine singles wins, which is third on the team. Sophomore Claudia Muñoz Perez has won four of her past five singles matches and is up to eight wins on the season. After starting the year with a 1-3 record, the Huskies have found their rhythm and have won eight of their past nine matches with five of them being won by five or more points.

Saint Benedict (8-3, 5-1 MIAC) is having a much-improved season after putting together a 9-9 campaign in 2022. CSB currently sits 4th in the MIAC and are in the middle of a four-match win streak. St. Cloud State has won the past two matches against Saint Benedict and have an all-time record of 6-2 against the Bennies. With the win last year, the Huskies currently are in possession of the Jerry Anderson Legacy Match trophy which is awarded to the winner of the match. St. Cloud State will be looking to retain the trophy once again, but it will be no easy task. The match should be very competitive with both teams on long winning streaks.
