Wildcats score two goals in first 17 minutes of the game
MARQUETTE, Mich. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (1-1-0, 0-0-0 NSIC) couldn't overcome a rough start and ultimately fell to (RV) Northern Michigan (2-0-0, 0-0-0 GLIAC), 3-0, on Saturday afternoon in Marquette, Mich. The Wildcats scored two goals in the first 17 minutes of the game to grab momentum from nearly the onset of the game.
TURNING POINT
Northern Michigan jumped out to a 2-0 lead following goals from Hannah Kastamo at the 14:01 mark and Stephanie Trujillo at the 16:24 mark of the first half.

- Fifth-year forward Jenna Dominguez (Geneva, Ill.) led the Huskies with two shots.
- Sophomore midfielder Brooke Quam (Lakeville, Minn.) had the lone shot on goal for SCSU.
- Freshman goalkeeper Jaylee Strickland (Columbus, Ohio) saw a large number of shots in the game, making eight saves on 11 shots on goal.
- St. Cloud State is now 4-8-0 all-time against Northern Michigan.
- Northern Michigan controlled the game by outpacing the Huskies in shots (17-4) and shots on goal (11-1).
- Strickland's eight saves marked her season- and career-best.
- Three Huskies – Quam, freshman defender Ana Spaine (West Des Moines, Iowa) and junior defender Rheana Zerna (St. Michael, Minn.) played a full 90 minutes in the game.
