St. Cloud State Wrestling Announces 2024-2025 Team Awards

Huskies commemorate touted 2024-25 season at annual awards banquet
St. Cloud, Minn.- St. Cloud State Wrestling has announced their 2024-25 team awards after another successful season at the team's annual Awards Banquet on Friday, April 25. St. Cloud State qualified eight wrestlers to the NCAA Tournament and as a team finished in third place. The Huskies also won their ninth consecutive Super Region V Championship and won their eighth NWCA National Duals Championship.
Joel Jesuroga was named the Dean Weisman Wrestler of the Year after he was the National Runner-Up in the NCAA Tournament and Super Region V Champion. He also earned All-American and First Team All-NSIC Honors.
Nathan Fury was named the Scholar Wrestler of the Year. Bryce Dagel, Augustus Donovan, Jadon Mims and Sam Spencer were named "Gary Boman" Most Improved Wrestler Award. Jeroen Smith was the recipient of the "Jim & Dave Hazewinkel" Tough Man of the Year Award while Augustus Donovan, Dominic Murphy, Colby Njos and Nolan Throne earned Iron Man of the Year Award. Murphy was also teh recipent of the "Jim Sundgren" Most Courageous Wrestler Award.
Chuck Ernst ('56) and Vince Dietz ('19) were also inducted into the Jack Gause Huskies Wrestling Hall of Fame.
