Keyshawn Davis named NSIC Indoor Field Male Athlete of the Week

St. Cloud State track and field athlete Keyshawn Davis (So. Milwaukee, Wis.) was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Indoor Field Male Athlete of the Week, announced today by the league office.

Davis set a new school record and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational hosted by South Dakota State in Brookings, S.D.

Davis placed second in the long jump with a leap of 23' 8 3/4" (7.23m), which ties him for first in the NSIC and seventh in the nation this season. He also scored a third place finish in the triple jump. His leap of 45' 7 1/4" (13.90m) ranks fourth in the NSIC this season.

St. Cloud State is ranked in 10^th place this week in the Central Region with 95.35 total points. They closely trail Harding University, who is in 9^th place with 97.21 points. Minnesota State leads the Central Region by over 100 points with 344.89 points this week.

The Huskies next meet will take place in Minneapolis, Minn. at the 2015 Jack Johnson Invitational,hosted by the University of Minnesota, on Jan. 30-31
