The #1 St. Cloud State University wrestling team (17-2, 8-0 NSIC) will travel to the 2015 NCAA Division II Super 3 Regional tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1. Â The tournament will be held at the Taylor Center on the campus of Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn.
The two-day tournament serves as a qualifier for the upcoming 2015 NCAA Division II championships, which will be held in St. Louis, Mo. on March 13-14. Â The top four place finishers at each weight bracket will advance to the NCAA championships.Â
Tournament action begins on Feb. 28 with first round competition at 10 a.m. Â The quarterfinals and session two will start at 5 p.m. on Feb. 28, followed by session three and the semifinals at noon on March 1. Â Session four and the championship bouts are schedule to start at 3 p.m. on March 1 at the Taylor Center in Mankato.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults per day (good for both sessions that day) and $5 for youth (ages 5-17), senior citizens and college students. Â A two-day all session pass is available for $20 for adults and $10 for youth (ages 5-17), senior citizens and college students. Â The ticket office will open 90 minutes prior to the start of competition each day and the arena will open 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start of competition each day.

The St. Cloud State University wrestling team captured its fourth consecutive Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championship with a 19-12 victory at Augustana College on Feb 20, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Â The Huskies ended their regular season with a perfect 8-0 record in NSIC competition and 17-2 overall. Â This marked the fourth consecutive season that SCSU has charted an undefeated record in NSIC dual action and it was their 36th consecutive victory in NSIC competition.
SCSU placed third at the NCAA regional in 2014 and won the regional title in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Â The regional serves as a qualifier for the upcoming NCAA Division II championships, which will be held on March 13-14 in St. Louis, Mo. Â The Huskies placed sixth at last year's NCAA championships and placed as the NCAA runner-up in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
The conference championship in 2015 marks the ninth time SCSU has earned a conference championship. Â SCSU gained NIC titles in 1963, 1974, 1975, 1977 and 1978. Â The Huskies have also claimed four consecutive NSIC championships in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 - all under the leadership of head coach Steve Costanzo.
At last year's regional, SCSU placed third with 99.0 points. Â Nebraska Kearney won the title with 106.5 points and Lindenwood was second with 99.5 points.
SCSU wrestlers to qualify for nationals in 2014 included Tanner Johnshoy at 125-pounds, Clint Poster at 157-pounds, Jay Hildreth at 149-pounds, Gabe Fogarty at 165-pounds, Clayton Jennissen at 174-pounds and Austin Goergen at 285-pounds. Â Poster, Fogarty, Jennissen and Goergen are all scheduled to compete for the Huskies at this year's regional tournament.
At the 2014 regional, Poster placed second at 157-pounds, Goergen placed third at 285-pounds and Fogarty and Jennissen both placed fifth.
 Clint Poster currently owns an undefeated record of 32-0 in 2014-15, which includes seven pins for the Huskies.  Poster is a two-time All-American at SCSU and captured his 100th career win in action against Augustana on Feb. 20.  He resides in nearby Pierz, Minn.
 Junior Gabe Fogarty owns a 22-2 record this season for the Huskies.  Fogarty is a two-time All-American at SCSU.
Sophomore Austin Goergen added to his record this week with a victory over Augustana, which moves his season total to 27-1.  He paces the Huskies with 14 pins and was an NCAA All-American at 285-pounds in 2014. Mike Rhone (133-pounds) gained a victory over Augustana and his season tally now stands at 16-3 for the Huskies.  SCSU other top wrestlers this season include Tim Prescott at 125 (14-7), #4 Josh Howk at 141 (22-4), Larry Bomstad at 149 (22-3), Clayton Jennissen at 174 (28-10), Dylon Braun at 184 (19-11) and VJ Giulio at 197 (12-4).
