St. Cloud State soccer posts 0-0 tie on Sept. 19

The St. Cloud State University soccer team (1-1-2, 0-0-2 NSIC) competed in its second consecutive overtime game on Saturday, Sept. 19 and came away with a 0-0 tie against NSIC rival Northern State (2-2-1, 1-1-1 NSIC) at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud, Minn.
The Huskies outshot the Wolves 16-3 in the game with 10 of those shots on target. SCSU senior goalkeeper Brittany Plombon had two saves in the game as she earned her first shutout the season. Bailly Drayton led SCSU with three shots on goal and four shots overall and teammate Michelle Cornell had two shots on goal in the game for the Huskies.
SCSU will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 20 with a 1 p.m. home date against Minnesota State Moorhead. Tickets for this game may be purchased at the gate. All SCSU students with a valid SCSU ID card get in FREE to this contest at Husky Stadium.
