J.T. Butler Leads Indoor Track & Field Programs On Final Day of Jack Johnson Classic

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Sophomore J.T. Butler finished in fifth place in the 60m dash to lead the St. Cloud State indoor track & field team on the second day of competition at the Jack Johnson Classic on Saturday, Jan. 30, at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse.

Butler ran a 6.944 in the finals to place fifth in the event after winning one of the initial preliminary events to qualify for the finals.

Sophomore Elijah Pitchford placed eighth in the triple jump with his leap of 13.60m

Senior Ryan Johnson compete in a pair of events on the final day and finished in the sixth in the weight throw (18.81) and 13th in the shot put (15.46m).

The indoor track & field program is on the road and competing next weekend at the Ted Nelson Classic on the campus of Minnesota State on Feb. 6.
