Keyshawn Davis and Patience Yalartai Lead Indoor Track & Field Programs On First Day of Jack Johnson Classic

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Juniors Keyshawn Davis and Patience Yalartai highlighted the first day of action for St. Cloud State's indoor track & field teams at the Jack Johnson Classic on Friday, Jan. 29, at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse.
Davis placed third in the long jump with his leap of 7.11m. Yalartai had a NCAA provisional qualifying long jump of 5.58m and placed fourth in her event.
Other top finishes on the first day on competition for SCSU include junior Sam Sunstrom finishing sixth in the 5,000m (17:53.72), junior Quinn Anderson placing fourth in the shot put (14.66m) and sophomore J.T. Butler coming in sixth in the 200m dash finals (22.16)
The St. Cloud indoor track and field programs continue competition in Minneapolis with several events including the weight throw, shot put, triple jump, 300m, 1 mile run, 600m run, 60m hurdles, 60m dash and the 4x400 relay on Jan. 30 on the second day of the Jack Johnson Classic.
