St. Cloud State Tennis to Compete against Mary and MSUM

Huskies face Mary on Saturday, MSUM on Sunday
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Tennis is set to head to Moorhead, Minn., this weekend for a pair for NSIC matches against Mary and Minnesota State Moorhead. The Huskies will first face Mary at 3:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, followed by Minnesota State Moorhead on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. CT.
Last weekend, the Huskies dropped matches to Augustana, 0-7, on Feb. 12 and Sioux Falls, 2-5, on Feb. 13. In the match against Sioux Falls, the Huskies received singles wins from junior Shanna Kinny (Litchfield, Minn.) and freshman Claudia Munoz Perez (Tarragona, Spain).
The Huskies opened the 2022 season with back-to-back victories, defeating Minnesota Crookston (6-1) on Feb. 4, then Bemidji State, 4-3, on Feb. 5. Against the Beavers, the Huskies fell behind 1-0 after dropping the doubles point, but then rebounded to win four matches in singles play, including a come-from-behind win from junior Shanna Kinny (Litchfield, Minn.) at the No. 3 spot to seal the victory.
