Huskies grab third consecutive victory in Florida
Orlando, Fla.- St. Cloud State Women's Tennis (4-3, 0-3 NSIC) defeated John Carroll (0-6) 6-1 Wednesday night. The Huskies earned the doubles after winning two of the three matches including a 7-0 tiebreaker win that solidified the doubles point. SCSU won five of the six singles matches with four of them being in straight sets.

Doubles
St. Cloud State snatched the doubles point, winning two of the three matches. In the No. 3 spot, senior Olivia Fredrickson (Fridley, Minn.) and sophomore Maria Molitor (Delano, Minn.) won their third consecutive match as a pair with a 6-4 victory over Anna Vitale and Emily Ducket. Sophomore Johana Brower (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and freshman Oriana Grott (Warsaw, Poland) grabbed the clinching point for the Huskies with a 7-6 victory in the No. 2 spot. The match went to a tiebreaker and Brower and Grott swept the set 7-0 to solidify the win and the doubles point for the Huskies. St. Cloud State moves to 4-1 on the year when they capture the doubles point.

In Singles play, the Huskies were able to win five of the six matches with four of them being in straight sets. In the No. 2 spot, sophomore Maria Paz Aoki (Marcos Paz, Argentina) earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over Felicity Kolb. Sophomore Claudia Muñoz Perez (Tarragona, Spain) had a comfortable 6-2, 6-0 win the No. 3 spot. Senior Arisa Kashima (Saitama, Japan) won 6-2, 4-6, 10-9 in a tightly contested match in the No. 4 spot. Johana Brower won her fifth consecutive match and recorded her third shutout victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 5 spot. Molitor earned her fourth win in the last five matches with a 6-3, 6-0 victory in the No. 6 spot to put the last point on the board for the Huskies. St. Cloud State is now 4-1 on the year when they win three or more singles matches.
