Softball Falls To Seton Hill and Fairmont State by Scores of 6-2 and 6-4 on Fourth Day of Spring Games

Clermont, Fla. – St. Cloud State's softball team (11-7) took a pair of losses on the fourth day of the Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. on Friday, March 9. The program started the day with a 6-2 loss to Seton Hill (6-5) and dropped the early afternoon game by a 6-4 margin to Fairmont State (1-4).
Freshman Kylie Thomsen led the team on offense with her three hits and two RBIs on the day. Junior Bradi Yost had a pair of hits and an RBI. Junior Morgan Emmans and sophomore Maya Keating both picked up a pair of hits and an RBI.
Junior Kate Kopeck (3-3) was tagged with the loss to Seton Hill in allowing six runs (three earned) in five innings. She also struck out five.
Thomsen (8-3) came up on the short end in the second game in allowing six runs (four earned) in seven innings with five strikeouts.
The Huskies continue play in the Spring Games on Sunday, March 11, with a single game against St. Thomas Aquinas (NY) at 10 a.m.
