Softball Travels To Florida For 2018 Spring Break Trip

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – After playing the first 10 games of the season indoors at the Husky Dome, the St. Cloud State softball team (9-1) gets on the road, outdoors and out of state for the first time early next week with a trip to The Spring Games at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla. from March 6-12.
The Huskies have a total of 11 games over the course of the seven days in the Sunshine State. SCSU plays a pair of games daily, except on Saturday (March 10) which is a designated off day and on Sunday (March 11) which is a single contest, starting with an 8 a.m. game against Ferris State College at Minneola Athletic Complex 1 on March 6. St. Cloud State then plays against Lynn University later that same day at 12 p.m. at Minneola Athletic Complex 2 at the National Training Center.

- Thomsen is second in the conference in victories and eighth in ERA.
- Junior Kate Kopeck has two wins, two complete games and leads the team with her 12 strikeouts in 22.2 innings working in the circle.
- The Huskies have a team batting average of .323 with 82 hits, 19 doubles, six home runs, 63 RBIs, 40 walks, 13 stolen bases and 119 total bases.
- The team sports an ERA of 3.18 with 26 strikeouts in 66 innings thrown.
